Utility Of Boericke Repertory In The Treatment Of Urticaria

Abstract

The term ‘Urticaria’ means ‘nettle rash or hives’. Urticaria is one of the commonest skinconditions characterized by the appearance of short-lived, itchy wheals which may be pale or pink in the centre, surrounded by a red flare. Homoeopathy is a science which is based on the law of similia. Homoeopathy offers a holistic approach in managing the urticaria, based on individualized treatment and eliminating the underlying causes which results in a rapid, gentle, and permanent cure. This article discusses the approach of homoeopathy in managing clinical conditions like urticaria. Additionally, it discusses the role of Boreicke Repertory in finding out the most similimum medicine for the case of urticaria. Boericke Repertory is the most widely used bedside clinical repertory which has been attached to Homoeopathic Materia Medica. This paper also underscores the need for further research and clinical studies to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of homeopathic treatment in cases of urticaria
