Linkage between environment and cancer incidence has been widely debated and
researched in the past several decades. This area of research has direct impact
on public health and more often than not the outcome of the research in this
field leaves the public confused. Controversies and hotly contested debates on
topics like the bottled water and cancer incidence, carcinopreventive effects of
vitamins cause further confusion and creates a “crisis of confidence” situation
among the general public.
Journal of Carcinogenesis likes to provide a platform to researchers, policy
makers as well as public health activists to share the results of their research
or their view points.
Journal of carcinogenesis likes to invite targeted manuscripts that deal with
multiple aspects of “carcinogenesis and public health”.
Topics of interest for Carcinogenesis and Public Health section include
1. Environmental carcinogens, DNA damage and carcinogenesis.
2. Environmental and dietary hormones (ex: from meat and milk) and
canrcinogenesis
3. Anti-oxidants and vitamins as carcinogenic and carcinopreventive agents:
Double edged knife
4. Diet, carcinogenesis and carcinoprevention: facts and myths
5. Health impact of environmental carcinogenesis on ageing and cancer
6. Legislative imperatives for controlling cancer epidemic in developing and
developed countries
7. Public health strategies and support for carcinoprevention efforts
The editorial board of JC invites manuscripts on any aspect of Carcinogenesis
and Public Health. I am happy to announce that Dr. Farid Saleh will be the lead
Editor for this section. Please email your inquiries and manuscripts to him at
fred@hsc.edu.kw and send a copy to editor@carcinogenesis.com.
I look forward to your support and contributions to this important field.
Sincerely,
